MDes in Product Design reimagines and retools relationships between designers, suppliers, manufacturers and consumers. We empower students as designer-makers, as comfortable behind the machinery of manufacture as they are discovering human-centered solutions to real problems. The program explores the nature of materials, products and manufacturing from a regional and global perspective, using Philadelphia's urban core as a laboratory for design intervention and innovation.
