ZINE MACHINE

My project is a zine distributed in a homemade vending machine. The zine Down the Drain is inspired by how-to guides and Rube Goldberg machines. I chose to explore a surrealist environment to illustrate the intangible nature of psychological and emotional events. The Zine Machine component of my thesis is a way to incentivize an engagement with my zine through a novelty machine.

It was the strangest morning.
I woke up, made my usual
Jasmine tea, and drew a bath.
It was like any other Saturday.
Until I drained my bath…
