BÁNH MÌ AND BUTTER: A SERIES OF PERSONAL COMICS ABOUT BEING A QUEER ASIAN AMERICAN

I created a series of eight small comics about my experience of being a queer Asian-American because I wanted to create the representation I did not have growing up. While I illustrated this with other queer and Asian kids in mind, I hope that everyone can find something to relate to. Prior to this project, I had never created anything deeply personal. I hope it encourages others to share their stories. This project made me realize that I am "queer enough" and "Asian enough" to tell these stories, despite my previous doubts. I hope you enjoy it!
