Living through massive events such as the Dust Bowl, The Okie Migration and the Great Depression, the life and work of  Woody Guthrie is a vivid testimony of the struggle of the common man as well as an excellent snapshot of 1930’s America which holds a great deal of historical weight and relevancy to the current state of the world.
